Final Photography-Fashion

These are my chosen pieces for my final photography;

Make-up

The main focus of this photograph is the make-up. The sharpest point of this photograph is the eyes of the model, this helps draw attention to the eye make-up the model is advertising. The position of the lighting has caused a shadow to cover half the model's face. The lighting is artificial, most likely to be a flash from the studio lights. The dominant lines in this photograph are the tiger stripes on the models shirt, these stripes curve to follow the curve of the shoulders. If I could touch the surface of the photograph I would feel the smooth skin of the model, the hard clumps of hairspray in the model's hair, the fabric of the chair and the cotton of the model's clothes. The main colours in this photograph are Blue, Green and Black. Blue symbolises confidence, Green symbolises freshness and Black symbolises elegance, meaning the model is confident because she feels that she looks fresh and elegant. I used Photoshop to remove any blemishes the model may have and to make the skin look more like the models do in magazines by adding a surface blur.

Trapped in Stereotype

The main focus of the photograph is the model's hands trapped in chains. The sharpest point is the chains to emphasise that the model is trapped. The least sharp point is the model's hair. The light used is the artificial light from the flash of a studio light, the positioning of the light has caused a shadow to cover the whole of the model's face but still brighten up the model's hands. The dominant lines in this photograph are the bars from the chains, they are curved into loops to make sure the escape of the model isn't possible. The geometric shapes in the photograph are the squares on the model's jacket, these squares repeat themselves over and over in different colours until a minecraft pattern of a creeper is achieved. If I could touch the surface of the photograph I would feel the smooth model's skin, the hard hairspray in the model's hair and soft fabric of the model's jacket and shirt and the cold hard metal of the chains. The main colours in this photograph are green and black. Green symbolises durability and Black symbolises depression, meaning the model is depressed because of everyday stereotype people with throw at her but she is durable and can withstand these stereotypes without breaking. I used Photoshop to remove the model's blemishes and to smooth out the skin using a surface blur.

Rectangle Body

The main focus of this photograph is the clothes that fit a rectangle body shape. The sharpest point of the photograph is the shirt and the least sharp is the model's face. The face is less sharp than the clothes because the model is not the important part as the photograph is to help sell the clothes. The dominant lines in the photograph is the tiger stripes on the shirt, these lines are repeated until the shape of a tiger is visible and recognisable. There are geometric shapes in the photograph in the form of circles that repeat and overlap in sizes that gradually get bigger until you get the design on the bottom of the model's shoe. If I could touch the surface of the photograph I would feel the smooth skin of the model, the hard hairspray in the model's hair, the smooth fabric of the model's shirt and the chair, the cotton of the model's trousers and the hard material of the model's shoes. The main colour in this photograph is cream, Cream symbolises understated elegance meaning the chair adds to the model's elegance in a subtle way without become the focus of the viewer. I used Photoshop to remove blemishes from the model and smooth the skin using a surface blur.

Apple Body

The main focus of this photograph is the clothes that fit an apple body shape. The sharpest point of the photograph is the clothes. The least sharp is the model's face as the model isn't the important part, the clothes are more important as that is the product they are trying to sell. The dominant lines in the photograph are the threads in the jeans the model is wearing. These lines are very thin and all straight and go all the way from the top of the jeans to the bottom. The jacket the model is wearing is made up of repeating squares that make up a minecraft pattern of a creeper. If I could touch the surface of the photograph I would feel the fabric of the jacket and shirt, the denim of the jeans, the soft wool of the blanket, the smooth skin of the model and the hard hairspray in the model's hair. The main colours in the photograph are green and blue, Blue symbolises confidence and Green symbolises growth, meaning the model is confident in these clothes with the size of her body and the growth she will continue to have. I used Photoshop to remove the model's blemishes and smooth the skin of the face and neck using a surface blur.
